Tennis school for kids: How to keep your children active in summer
In summer, kids have a lot more free time and holidays from school. However, although it’s very important for them to rest their minds for a couple of months, it’s important to keep them physically fit and active.
At Centro Deportivo Cortijo Alto we still offer tennis lessons in the summer, so tennis lessons are available for school children or new students coming to Malaga on holiday! So, if you are looking for a tennis school for kids in Malaga, read on.
Why is it important for kids to do exercise in summer?
Ensuring that kids remain active during the summer break is crucial for their overall well-being, contributing to both their physical and personal discipline.
Physical health benefits are significant, especially as kids often become more sedentary during the summer months with the prevalence of screen time.
On the other hand, physical activity improves cardiovascular health and strengthens bones and muscles.
Tennis offers a comprehensive workout that enhances coordination, agility and balance, making it a good choice for summer sports.
Social and emotional development are also greatly supported by sports like tennis. While often seen as an individual sport, tennis includes doubles matches and group lessons that teach kids how to cooperate, communicate and build friendships.
5 benefits of playing tennis in summer
Here are five key benefits of playing tennis in the warmer months:
#1 Enhanced physical fitness
Tennis involves running, jumping and quick directional changes which provide a comprehensive workout. Playing tennis regularly during summer keeps kids full of energy to start school stronger than ever.
#2 Improved coordination and motor skills
Tennis requires precise hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. When kids learn these skills, they are not just beneficial in sport but in daily activities.
#3 Mental toughness and strategy
Although it may not seem like it, tennis is as much a mental game as it is physical. When kids stay focused on their moves, it improves their mental capacity that can translate to other areas of life such as school.
#4 Social interaction
Kids are kids and they want to have fun! So, if they can enjoy themself while playing tennis, all the better! At Centro Deportivo Cortijo Alto, kids learn the importance of sportsmanship, respect and working together towards a common goal.
#5 Exposure to outdoor environment
Playing tennis outdoors exposes kids to fresh air and sunshine, which is beneficial for their overall health.
